The Stunning Blonde?
The stunning blonde coed was stunned herself
when the biology professor asked her, "What
part of the human anatomy enlarges to about
ten times its normal size during periods of
emotion or excitement?"

"I... I refuse to answer that question," the
girl stammered as she shyly avoided looking
at her classmates

Sitting nearby. One of them was called upon next,
and he correctly answered, "The pupil of the eye."

"Miss Rogers," said the professor, "your refusal
to answer my question makes three things evident.
First, you didn't study last night's assignment.
Second, you have a dirty mind. And third, I'm
afraid marriage is going to be a tremendous
disappointment for you!"
Nice one Clint, new I could rely on you as I took a break from the ironing! PML
For those that have seen it, what is wrong with the video Asian's in the Library? I thought the girl nailed it?
and with humor but still showing respect....I don't understand what the huge uproar is about...it's on youtube, just search for asians in the library...the original one has a big boobed blonde coed on the front.
She is WHITE therefore not allowed to complain about any other race period or be labeled as a racist.
Granted the Japanese are suffering huge but one could go outside a library to talk on the phone they are called MOBILE phones.

Character Names for a Story?
I'm starting a story and while I've got some names in mind, I'd like to hear some suggestions from a third party to sway me in the right direction. I know that the name of the character really has very little if any impact on the story, but I always get stuck on names and end up losing interest in the story.

The story is set at a coed boarding school in New Hampshire

Character 1: female, 16 years old, originally from a Baltimore suburb, has dirty blonde hair and green eyes, kind of shy around new people but very outgoing with those she is comfortable with, somewhat misanthropic, starts out as a fairly "good girl" (only drank once or twice has never been with a boy, etc) but changes a lot at school, was raised by a single mother who was only able to afford the school thanks to a scholarship, changes a lot about who she is at school and ends up in debt trying to afford clothing to fit in with her much wealthier friends

I was thinking Zahra, but I'm not 100% invested in it

Character 2: male, 17, comes from Newton, Massachusetts, has dark brown hair and brown eyes, is very tall, comes from an affluent family, seems dark and brooding but is really rather sweet, just quiet, dislikes the large party atmosphere that exists in certain areas on campus (namely his dormitory), is very studious and intelligent, although he is wealthy he doesn't make much of an attempt to dress fancy or meet the expectations of his peers

I really have no idea for him

Character 3: female, 16 years old, comes from Juniper Island, Florida, has light blonde hair and brown eyes, is not extremely pretty but is very confident and the life of the party, conceited, a big party girl, promiscuous, good at faking manners, is a sort of "queen bee" at the school as she comes from one of the richest families and lives next door to celebrities, considers C1 a threat due to her rising popularity and because of a comment made by her flavor of the week

I'm considering Maisie, but I think something a little more "unique" would suit her

Please no links or rants, just names.
1. Sloan (I am using this name in something I'm writing, but I love it :))
2. Jakson (Jackson)
3. Briianna (prnounced 'Breanna', so it's a classic name that is just spelled differently, like #2)

Hope I helped! :)
Advice On If This Guy Likes Me?
Ok, sorry it's kind of long. I'm extremely confused with relationships right now... But anyway, my mom signed me up for a coed basketball league (I'm 13). Well turns out I'm the only girl on my team and one of the only girls in the league. (It's a long story why she signed me up because I play travel too.. soo yeah). There's this guy on my team... He is sooo hot and really good at basketball. I think he might like me but I'm not sure. First of all, he's always looking at me. (I'm kinda shy but not to be vain but I'm pretty good looking. I'm blonde, blue eyes, 5'5, and thin. I'm also pretty good at basketball). And one time I wasn't at practiceand his friend went up to my mom and asked her what my name was. I'm not sure if the guy I like was there with him or if he was standing right by his friend. And then at the game yesterday, the same friend asked my mom what grade I'm in. I heard it becuase it was like extremely loud. (Was it because he wanted Kyle to hear?) And then Kyle (the guy I like) was playing and I was sitting out. He got a 3 in and I looked at him and smiled and he like literally stopped playing and smiled back. This was like the first time I saw him smile. We only had like 4 practices and games combined and I don't know anyone there also. And he's in 8th grade and I'm in 7th. I like him sooo much!!! What do you think?
It is nice to like a guy and be liked by them, but you need to decide, do you want to be a basketball player or do you want to pursue guys on the team. On a co-ed team, these relationships can destroy a team. It's one or the other, I'm afraid.
Advice:: does he like me?
I'm 13 and am on a coed basketball team. There's this super hot guy and he's nice and a-mazing at basketball. He's in 8th grade and I'm in 7th. But anyway, one day I wasn't at practice and his friend walked up to my mom and asked her what my name was. I'm not sure if the guy I like was standing right there or anything though. Then at the game the same friend went up to my mom and asked her what grade I'm in. And then the next game, me and the guy I like were sitting out together and he was a few people away from me. He got up, got his water, and stood next to me until this 6th grader ruined it by coming in between us xD. And the when he was playing (I wasn't in) he would only pass to hs close friends. Then when I was in with him (his friends weren't in) He was supposed to be pointguard but when I would pass the ball in to him, he would stare into my eye and pass the ball back. We kept passing back and forth that night until my mom told us to stop because it was noticeable I guess. Then I was out and he was in and he got a 3 and I looked at him and smiled and he literally stopped playing and smiled at me :) Hes also always staring at me. (I'm blonde haired, blue eyed, thin, 5'5 )what do you think??

And btw, we don't really know eachother that well because I go to a private school and he goes to the public school.

How does the beginning of my novel sound?
Tell me what you think! And be honest! Helpful tips are appreciated!

---Some girls long for attention. I was not one of those girls. So when I walked into the Grand Hall of my new "home away from home," Barrington Academy, and saw a room full of guys go silent and watch me as I made my way to the administrative office across the room, my first reaction was to turn around and run. Of course, I couldn't do that without looking like an idiot, so I chose option number two. Keep walking. Don't make eye contact. I tried my best to walk with confidence and poise. Well, as much confidence and poise a girl could have when carrying a duffle bag and rolling two suitcases. I was struggling.
---The Grand Hall was true to its name. It was huge, and right then I hated that fact. The room was filled with tables, couches, and chairs; and as I passed by a different group of boys, their reaction was the same. Silent and staring hard at me, like I was some kind of alien to them. If this would have been a room full of girls, most of them would be filling each other in on how their summer had been. But the looks on the guys’ faces and the change in the school from being all an all boys’ boarding school to coed told me summer memories were the last thing on the guys’ mind.
---Why had my mother forced me to go to Boarding School? More importantly, why did she drop me off at the door, and then leave me to fend for myself? Granted, I was sixteen, but still! My mother was too preoccupied with her job as a publicist to worry about me. That's the way things had always been. But until last year, my dad had always been around to do the things mom was too busy to worry about. I pushed that thought aside, knowing I couldn’t think about that.
---As I opened the door to what I hoped was the administrative office, I let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding. Closing the door behind, I could feel the eyes still on me. "Good morning!" a lady in a black suit said to me in a sing-song voice. I smiled awkwardly and dropped my bags onto the floor. The administrative office was small, with a dark cedar counter that separated me from the woman, and one dark cedar desk with a computer and phone in the back corner of the room. "Oh dear, you poor guy. Carrying all of that luggage yourself. When you go to your room, we'll have one of the boys help you." Oh, goody. "I'm Mrs. Porter, student counselor. You can come to me with any questions you have. What's your name?" she asked while looking at a sheet of names. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a tight bun, and I couldn’t help but think that she looked much older than she probably was.
---"Eleanor Roberts" I replied. She looked at the list through her reading glasses then nodded her head.
---"Yes, Eleanor Roberts, 15A," she read on the paper. "You're roommates should be already up there. Eager to meet you I'm sure!" She handed me a folder, and went over the schedule the rest of the day. I didn't bother telling her I had already memorized the schedule for the day as well as the schedule for all of my classes. I figured most students didn't normally do that before classes started. "Stay here, Eleanor, I'll be right back," she said as she opened the office door to the Grand Hall. I could see her walking towards a group of boys, and I faintly heard her talking. "Mr. Walker, come help this young lady with her bags, please," she said as she pointed to the office. Through the office blinds and the window open to the Grand Hall, I couldn't make out which boy she was talking to. I was still looking through the blinds when I heard Mrs. Porter come back into the office. I jumped away from the blinds and ran straight into someone behind me.
---“Sorry,” I say turning around to see a guy, who I assumed was the Mr. Walker Mrs. Porter had been talking to. He didn’t say anything as we stared at each other, him practically towering over me, for what felt like minutes. His brown hair hit just at the nape of his neck, and his blue eyes didn’t look away from mine. A shiver ran up my spine, and I felt my cheeks redden.
---“Mr. Walker will help you with your belongings, Eleanor,” Mrs. Porter said, causing me to look away from his blue eyes and back to reality. I winced at the sound of my name. I absolutely hated when people called me Eleanor. Everyone back home called me Ellie. “See you at supper!” she called to me as she walked back out into the Grand Hall to snatch a paper plane out of the hands of a redheaded boy who looked to be around thirteen. Walker guy picked up my duffle bag and one of the rolling suitcases with ease and started down the hallway. I picked up the other suitcase and had no choice but to follow.
---“I’m Ellie,” I told him as we walked down the hall. The noise of the boys from the Grand Hall grew softer and softer until all I could hear was our footsteps. The hall we walked down was where most of the classrooms were. I had taken a tour of the school earlier in the summer with my moth
That was really good, but a few tips, "Walker guy..." no change that. and the last sentence should be mom instead of moth right? Other than that it was good. I would love to read more, so Good Luck!
I apologize for that. You are a wonderful writer and I would love to read even more I am officially hooked.
What do you think about the beginning of this story?
I'm just starting on a story, and I would like to see what people think of it. If you have any tips, contructive critisicm, ect, I would be more than happy to hear. And be honest! Thanks!

It's well written. Of course there is always room for improvement.

Some girl's long for attention...Should be 'girls'.
I, however, was not one of those girls...You could leave out 'however'.

So when I walk into the Grand Hall of my new "home away from home," Barrington Academy, and see a room full of guys go silent and watch me as I make my way to the administrative office across the room, my first reaction was to turn around and run...You changed from present tense "I walk...see..." to past "my first reaction was..."
(too long to critique all)
